Stephen M. Terry

Stephen M. Terry

Family Service Counselor

Stephen began his career in Peoria, Illinois as a Funeral Director assistant and maintenance supervisor for Davison-Fulton Chapels four locations 38 years ago.

In 1987, Stephen decided to go into the insurance field. After 1 ½ years, he was called back to where he started to be given the opportunity to take care of people through advance funeral planning that was becoming more common.

Stephen was quickly recognized for his keen organizational skills, attention to detail, compassion for elderly individuals, and the ability to lead others, which grew into a sales manager position over 11 counselors and 10 funeral homes. After 38 years and serving over 3,500 families, much experience and knowledge has been gained to help aide in the arrangements of families.

He came to Kansas City in 2008 and arrived at peaceful and beautiful Longview Funeral Home in August of 2014 and now feels at home. Stephen has earned many awards over his career, but the reward that he honors the most is being a compassionate listener and totally committed to carrying out the wishes of families he cares for.

Stephen is married to Connie. He has two sons, two step-sons, and seven grandchildren. He likes to work on home improvements, ride his motorcycle, and play golf. He is an active member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church of Kansas City, MO. Steve stresses to his families – “Make it easier on those you love.”
