Please join us this holiday season as remember those loved ones lost and reflect on the season and its meaning. We will be joined this year by Pastor Michael Nelson from First Baptist Church Grandview and Echo Worship Collective will lead our music selections. We will be providing refreshments after the service. This we were are asking for a non-perishable item to be donated to Grandview Assistance Program to give back to our community during this time of need. Some items they are in need of: shampoo deodorant, razors, boxed potatoes, chunky soup, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, pancake mix, syrup - all donations are welcome though. If you are unable to attend and still want to donate - come by anytime between now and December 8th to drop off your items.
We are excited to participate in National Wreaths Across America Day for our 2nd year! The event is to help Honor, Teach, and Remember our veterans by placing a wreath on the graves of Veterans all across the nation. With over 1,100 paticipating locations, we are excited to continue this tradition with this year's theme "I'm an American. Yes, I am!" Last year, we had great support from our community and placed over 100 wreaths at Longview Cemetery. This year we have a goal of 500 wreaths, which we cannot achieve without your support. You can donate directly to the Funeral Home (indicating it is for Wreaths Across America), or you can log into the website, www.wreathsacrossamerica.org, click donate and type in MOKCLV to locate and donate to Longview Cemetery. Wreaths are $15/each with all proceeds going to Wreaths Acrossa America to continue their mission. We invite you to join us for a short ceremoy and to help place the wreaths, with light refreshments afterwards. Sponsorships must be done by Nov. 27th to have the wreaths delivered on time. We hope that you will join us to honor our Veterans!
